Jansen: Graduate Story- Graphic Design & Web Development
Meet Jansen, a Graphic Design and Web Development graduate from F.I.R.S.T. Institute of Orlando, Florida. He says he has felt a need to express his creative purpose since childhood. His reflection of those times includes getting into trouble in middle and high school for drawing in class. Teachers assumed he wasn’t paying attention, and therefore, wasn’t giving it his all.
In time, through various life experiences and research, he stumbled upon the graphic design industry. F.I.R.S.T. Institute gave Jansen the opportunity to enter into a career in which he was actually interested.
Jansen: Experiences in Creative Art
At first, Jansen had little experience in creating art. He would use simple tools, such as pens, pencils, crayons and anything else he could get his hands on to express his creativity. His earlier pieces were very simplistic and ununiform. There were no limits or boundaries. Everything was purely abstract.
As he got older, he began caring more about organization. This meant concentrating more on geometric lines, making his images more intricate and adding creative details.
One of his fun-time pastimes during childhood was to create graffiti art for people. Jansen was always drawing doodles and other little graphics for his friends. As he grew older, he realized there was money in painting.
People would pay him to paint their favorite super hero or their favorite location. He really, really enjoyed creating something that helps to transform another person’s vision into a reality.
Jansen Chooses F.I.R.S.T. Institute Graphic Design School
What initially attracted Jansen to F.I.R.S.T. Institute was the graphic design school’s accessibility. He says the school makes it a point to give each student an ultimate experience since there’s a variety of different graphic design types. This is done through the Orlando campus’ environment, facilities, staff, and their desire to want to teach various creative outlets.
The F.I.R.S.T. Institute graduate says the graphic and web design school offers a classroom view, as well as the correct environment for learning the art of designing graphics. And, everything is kept professional. His technical schooling made him feel as though he has a purpose and is on the right track to a growing design career.
