When Andrea was just a fifth grader, she attended a work event with her mother, where she encountered something magical for the first time – a professional mixing board. Captivated by its complexity and seemingly endless possibilities, she couldn’t take her eyes off it.
Curious and eager to learn, Andrea struck up a conversation with the operator, peppering him with questions about his career. It was in that moment she realized her dream of becoming a front-of-house engineer, someone who could control the energy of a live event through sound. This singular encounter planted the seed for Andrea’s passion, and from that night on, she began laying the groundwork for her future career.
Laying the Foundation
Even at a young age, Andrea showed an extraordinary level of determination. After discovering her ambition, she started exploring avenues where she could make her dream a reality. While most kids her age were focused on homework or TV shows, Andrea was already researching technical schools offering audio engineering programs.

Reflecting on her rapid success, Andrea shares, “It feels insanely crazy. It’s an awesome feeling. It really does make me feel extremely lucky to be paid for doing something I love!”
