Meet Amir Ahmed. He’s an Audio Engineering and Music Production program student and graduate at F.I.R.S.T. Institute. Amir explains that his upbringing always involved music. He spent time writing poetry, co-existing with music artists, working in the entertainment industry and in the nightlife.
This gave him the drive he needed to desire an education that would give him an industry advantage. His understanding of the industry told him that it’s better to have credentials when seeking a career. This would allow him to show others that he actually knows what he’s doing. That’s what led him to F.I.R.S.T. Institute.
THE DEDICATED PROFESSORS AT F.I.R.S.T. INSTITUTE
Amir talks about how much he appreciates the dedication of the professors. They provide students with one-on-one training, which drives home an understanding of the techniques he’s being taught. Their goal is to make sure that the students actually succeed in their audio engineering career. So, professors will take the time to explain things that he doesn’t fully understand.
They also go above and beyond to help him be as successful as he chooses to be in the audio and music industries. He feels as though the entire staff actually cares about the future of students.
HANDS-ON-EXPERIENCE IN SOUND DESIGN AND POST PRODUCTION
One of Amir’s favorite student projects involved going into the sound design and post production studio. Originally, he was only expecting to simply learn the basics of music production and being an audio engineer. However, he was exposed to an out-of-the-box style of teaching, which included sound design and post production hands-on-experience.
Amir believes this opened up even more doors for him in the entertainment industry as a whole. This gave him the opportunity to discover even more industry fields and niches that he truly enjoys. Now, he has even more career opportunities opened up to him that he never even knew existed.
Amir feels that the education he’s acquired at F.I.R.S.T. Institute gives him an edge in such a competitive industry. Now, he has the education he needs to apply towards a career in the audio engineering, music production, sound design and/or post production industries. He can now seek a career doing something he really loves.
